Suffolk County Transit (SCT) General Information

Suffolk County Transit (SCT) Service
Observed Holidays*
No service New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day or Christmas.
*S92 and 10C bus routes will have service on Memorial Day, Independence Day and Labor Day
*S47 Summer beach route to Robert Moses State Park will have service on Independence Day and Labor Day.

Sunday Service
Sunday bus service is available on the following SCT routes:
S1, S33, S40, S41, S45, S54, S58, S61, S66, S92, 3D, 10C

Persons With Disabilities
Upon request, drivers will assist wheelchair passengers while boarding and leaving lift/ramp and with the use of wheelchair securement devices.
Use of wheelchair lifts/ramps are also available to passengers using walkers, canes, braces or who are otherwise mobility-impaired.
Persons traveling with a respirator or portable oxygen supply are permitted to ride SCT buses. Service animals to accompany disabled passengers are also permitted.

Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Goal
Suffolk County has formulated its Disadvangated Business Enterprise (DBE) goal for United States Department of Transportation (USDOT) assisted projects for Federal Fiscal Year (FFY) beginning October 1, 2017 and ending September 30, 2019. The County’s proposed overall DBE participation goal for FFY 2017-2019 is 7.25% of the Federal financial assistance it will expend in FTA/ USDOT-assisted contracts, exclusive of FTA funds to be used for the purchase of transit vehicles.
